(Bowling Green, VA) - County Administrator Percy Ashcraft today announced the pending implementation of a new County phone line designed to provide citizens better access to County services.

The new line, created at the request of Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Floyd Thomas, will enable citizens to select the County department or agency that best meets their needs. Each department or agency will feature a recording to guide the caller to a specific person or office. The recording may also include information about doing business with the department and important upcoming events or deadlines.

Persons calling the County Administrator's Office for general information will be directed to the new information line after four (4) rings. Calls after normal business hours will automatically be directed to the new line.

"We're very pleased to provide this new service to citizens" said County Administrator Percy Ashcraft. "We believe it will improve our ability to communicate with the public and provide valuable information."
