Description: Is there a "Star" in you? Participants will gain self-confidence and creative self-expression through improvisation, mime, script reading and vocal development while building their knowledge about the "ins and outs" of live performance theater. The class will cover a number of basic areas for success in theater including: proper etiquette for theater actors and audiences, stage direction, understanding the difference between a story and a play, types of plays and theater, learning lines, character development, singing and choreography.
Ages: 8 - 13
Dates:
Session 1: June 10 - 21, 2019
Session 2: July 15 - 25, 2019
Time: Session 1 and Session 2 Each have a morning session from 10:00 a.m. - Noon and an evening session from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Days: Monday - Thursday (2 weeks)
Cost: $40.00 per person/per session
Location: Ladysmith Community Center
