Public Hearings

The Caroline County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, in the Community Services Center Auditorium, located at 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia, to consider the following:

Beginning at 7:30 p.m.

RZ-03-2016 - Gary Gray, Owner/Milford Terminal Co., LLC (John Blysniuk), Applicant: Request a Rezoning from RP-Rural Preservation (with a density of one dwelling unit per 10 acres of land) to M-1, Industrial (no specified density) on tax map # 56-A-13, consisting of 3 acres, more or less.  This property is adjacent to 16014 Industrial Drive, approximately 1 mile south of the intersection of Nelson Hill Road and Industrial Drive, Mattaponi Voting District.  Proposed Use: Expansion/Upgrade of existing propane storage facility to include a new rail spur and additional tank car storage capacity.  The 2030 Comprehensive Plan identifies this area as being located within the 100 year Flood Plain and designated as Rural Preservation (with a density of one dwelling unit per 10 acres of land).

TXT-18-2016: An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Ordinance of Caroline County by Amending Article XV, Section 17, Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act Overlay District, specifically Section 17.3 Applicability, Section 17.4 Designation of Resource Protection Areas and Section 17.5 Resource Management Area.  The purpose of this amendment is to amend the County's regulations to be consistent with the requirements of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act and to adopt the updated maps consistent with the Chesapeake Bay Preservation regulations.

TXT-19-2016: An Ordinance to Amend the Subdivision Ordinance of Caroline County by Amending Section 6, Approval of Plats; specifically Paragraph 6-1 Approval Required Before Sale, Paragraph 6-3 Preliminary Plat and Paragraph 6-9 Final Plat.  The purpose of this amendment is to add appropriate notes to be included on plats as required by the Chesapeake Bay Preservation regulations.
