Sierra Butler Recognized at April 11 Board of Supervisors Meeting

Sierra Butler, a senior at Caroline High School, was recognized at the April 11 Board of Supervisors Meeting for her accomplishments as a Caroline High School Student Athlete.  Sierra placed second in the shot put at the 2017 Virginia High School League 4 A State Indoor Track & Field Championships held February 24-25 at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.  Her performance earned her a spot in the New Balance Nationals Indoor held March 10-12 at Fordham University in Manhattan, New York.  Sierra is also a two-time Conference 19 Outdoor Champion in the shot put and won the Field Award for 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.  She maintains a grade point average of 3.73 and is a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta and wants to eventually attend law school.  Sierra's accomplishments are very impressive and have brought credit and positive recognition to Caroline County.
