FREDERICKSBURG – A concrete sidewalk repair project will be underway on Main Street in the Town of Bowling Green this summer, with work beginning on Monday, June 19.
Pedestrians can expect to see work underway on both sides of Main Street between East Broaddus Avenue and Millford Street. The project will be completed by Monday, Aug. 21.
Repairs are being funded through the Virginia Department of Transportation’s maintenance program. VDOT has coordinated repair locations with the Town of Bowling Green.
Most work will occur between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays. Temporary sidewalk, shoulder and entrance closures will be needed as work progresses along Main Street. Pedestrians will always have access to a sidewalk along one side of Main Street while work is underway.
