Recognitions from the May 14 Board of Supervisors Meeting

At the May 14 Board of Supervisors Meeting,  Caroline High School Sophomore, Devlin Hopson, was recognized as the winner of this year’s Caroline High School Crime Stoppers Poster Contest. He was awarded a $500.00 check from the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers and a framed copy of his art submission.

The contest is done annually and is sponsored by the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers. Each year, the art classes from Caroline High are given a set of rules and they compete against each other to have their poster chosen as the winner for Caroline County. After a winner is chosen from each jurisdiction that participates with the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers, the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors chooses an overall winner. The overall winner is given an additional $500.00 check, for a total of $1000.00.

The purpose of the contest is to promote and foster relationships between law enforcement and high school aged children, along with making children aware of crime stoppers and how it works.

Also at the Board Meeting, members of the Frog Level Volunteer Fire Department accepted a resolution in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Frog Level Fire Department.
