FIRST CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) POSITIVE TEST CONFIRMED IN CAROLINE COUNTY

The Rappahannock Area Health District (RAHD) has confirmed that a Caroline County resident has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is at home and under isolation. RAHD is completing its notification of every individual who has been identified as a close contact to the patient. These persons are being advised to self-isolate and will be in regular communication with the Virginia Department of Health. Neither the health district nor Caroline County will release personal identifying information to the general public.

Caroline County continues ongoing preparations for the possible spread of the coronavirus within its borders and urges citizens to closely adhere to Governor Northam’s stay at home order (Executive Order Number Fifty-Five 2020) issued March 30, 2020.
